Being an accountant provides the opportunity to get to know different businesses operating in diverse sectors, but more importantly an opportunity to get to know the people behind those businesses. I appreciate the relationships that develop and influence how we work together towards achieving your goals.

In addition to obtaining my Chartered Professional Accountants designation, I have also completed the first two levels of the In-Depth Tax Course. I have studied and lived in multiple provinces and countries and have been fortunate to work at the successful offices of Bison Transport and Cargill Canada.

Outside of work, my wife and I are kept busy with our three kids. When time is available, we love to head to the lake or spend time on our bikes.

I was born and raised in Winnipeg, growing up in East Kildonan and graduating from Mile Mac and the University of Manitoba. My accounting career began at a large firm in Winnipeg where I earned my Chartered Accountant designation and worked with businesses of all sizes and across multiple industries.

In 2006 I was recruited by a client, a large family-owned manufacturer where I spent twelve years in various roles – accounting, operations and leadership. This experience helped me understand how businesses operate, what they do to succeed and when obstacles arise, how to overcome them.

At Blackstone Chartered Professional Accountants I’m able to apply my experience to your business, understanding the struggles you face and providing advice to help you and your business succeed.

When not in the office you’ll find me fishing, golfing, curling or playing volleyball. My wife Tanis and I also like to be outdoors – hiking, canoeing, camping or relaxing at the lake.
